A two colour reduction wood-cut based on the left hand drawing of this page from my New York Sketchbook.
Printed on Imitation Japanese paper no2 from lawrence's with a mix of water and oil based inks. The blue (first colour) used a water-based coloured paste mixed from poster paint and pva glue - inspired by traditional Japanese wood block prints, while the black is oil-based.
The print was inspired by the 'Grosvenor school' lino-cuts from the Metropolitan museum's exhibition of British prints.
